SMART Goals Summary S = Specific M = Measurable A = Attainable
R = Relevant T = Timely

S = Specific Make sure the goal is specific rather than vague
Specific = Detailed, defined, and clear Vague = Uncertain, indefinite, or unclear meaning

M = Measurable You must have ways to measure the outcome of your goal.
Consider questions such as: How much? How many? How will I know when it is accomplished? What is at the finish line? Keep track daily of your progress. Some ideas: Sticky notes, tracking up, phone reminders, etc.

A = Attainable Make sure your goal is realistic
If it is not possible to achieve, do not set this as a goal. Are you prepared to make the commitment to reach your target (goal)?

R = Relevant Make sure the goal relates to your life.
Make sure your goals are realistic. EX. If you haven’t exercised in 10 years, it is unlikely for you to be successful at running a full marathon in 6 weeks.

T = Timely All goals should have a deadline.
For Path, we will be setting one goal every six weeks. Consider what milestones you can reach each week to measure how close you are to reaching your goal.
