Lines 1-3 Identify details that would have to match what really happened that night
Author’s Style: his or her own unique way of communicating ideas
Word Choices: One way an author affects readers’ experiences and creates a personal writing style (i.e. powerful verbs, precise nous, vivid adjectives etc.)
Lines 4-6 Identify powerful verbs, nouns, adjectives or adverbs AND describe the effect these words have.

Style: Analyzing the length, type, and punctuation of the sentence in a text can help the reader better understand what the author wants to tell— and the author’s style.
Lines Note how the sentences and punctuation chosen have an effect on the reader and help the reader experience the action described.
