James Lind Born October 1716 Graduated at Edinburgh University Venereal disease was MD thesis Trial of 12 sailors with scurvy in May 1747.

7 James Lind Library The RCPE was the birthplace in 1988 of ‘Controlled Trials from History, which led to the development of the James Lind Library in Twelve years later and scope extended to incorporate material illustrating the evolution of evidence-based health care.
