Contact Members Prior to Membership Expiration Snail Mail, , Phone Call Contact Members prior to membership suspension (within 30 days of membership expiration) Not wasting effort on members who were going to renew anyway More difficult to manage Offer Incentive to Members to renew membership What, When, Who – Difficult to manage When - At what point – don’t want to waste time, money on those who were going to renew anyway

16 MEMBERSHIP RETENTION Need to develop a connection with members so they want to stay involved, be a part of ‘the group’ APICS Need to find out what the members want, like, dislike,etc Conduct a Member Survey Length of Membership? Type of Membership? Type of Certification? Length of Certification? Who pays for Membership – Individual, Employer? Does Employer pay for PDM attendance Why did they become an APICS Member? Why do they renew their APICS membership? What would encourage them to renew their APICS membership? What would they like to see more of from APICS? ETC
