The Executive Office oversees this program, not the Meetings & Convention Department. There are 15 travel scholarships available for public agency officials. The total amount allocated for reimbursement is up to $1,300 each. This can be used to reimburse for round-trip coach airfare, lodging at ATSSA’s designated hotel, ground transportation, meals not provided by ATSSA, mileage, parking, car rental, and reasonable incidentals. They are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, with the priority going first to public officials who are members of a standing committee or council. The next priority goes to ATSSA public agency members who are not on committees. Non-members are not eligible. To request assistance please contact ATSSA’s Executive Assistant and request a scholarship and the public agency’s name. Financial assistance is provided on first com e basis for 15 individuals. Once 15 scholarships have been claimed, the program is closed. Any requests after the 15 are met are placed on a wait list in case someone cancels. ATSSA will reimburse expenses only after the event has concluded.
