Gerunds A gerund is when we change a verb to a noun.
We add “ing” to make it the present participle form. I work often. Working is fun. I like working. I’m thinking of working

Gerunds Please use a gerund: As a subject As an object
As an OP (inside a PP) After some verbs Smoking is unhealthy. Skiing is fun. Running is an example of good exercise.

Gerunds When we use it as a subject or object, it can be very long!
Drinking alcohol and driving can kill you. Stealing your friend’s cellphone is bad. Her talking makes me go crazy!

As an OP (inside a PP) After some verbs I’m thinking (of going to the mall later). I’m interested (in studying chemistry) when I graduate. I’m upset (about failing my last English test).
