The process of heating
Heat energy can be transferred from:
- an object that is warmer [hotter] to another object that is colder [cooler].
- the one warmer [hotter] end of an object to its colder [cooler] end.
We say that heat has been transferred from the warmer object to the colder object.

4. How long does the heating last?
The object that is hot, cools down.
The object that is cool, heats up.
This process will continue until both objects have the same temperature.

Heat energy can be transferred in the following ways:
