Fast plants & root growth hormones
by: Anna Lily & Izzy
2
EXPERIMENTAL QUESTION…
What is the effect of root growth hormones on fast plants? Three days old Thirty-five days old
3
If we add root growth hormones then the plants will grow taller.
OUR HYPOTHESIS… If we add root growth hormones then the plants will grow taller.
4
EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN… Our variable is the root growth hormones. We added two doses of RGH to the soil- for experiment one. We added four doses to the soil- for experiment two! RGH means root growth hormones (we made it up ) The yellow stuff is the RGH
5
TIME LAPSE
6
Results As you can see our experiment stopped growing around the 15th day at 4.5 inches. They stayed that way until they died.
7
COMPARISON TO CONTROLLED…
4.5 inches 6 inches 4.5 inches The controlled plant grew 6 inches and both of the experiments only grew 4.5 inches that means that RGH does not work on fast plants.
8
Conclusion Our hypothesis was that the plants would grow taller. Our data does not support our hypothesis, because our experiment was two and a half inches shorter than our controlled. We actually think that the RGH made our plants stop growing because in our data the plants stopped growing a lot sooner then our controlled.
