18 Other Information… Hampton Star Readers
* Color in 1 star every time you have read for 15 minutes * Once you have colored all 20 stars, have a parent/guardian sign the slip * Make sure you have written your name and your classroom teacher's name on the slip * Return the completed slip to your classroom teacher anytime from Sept. 26th through May 12th What happens when I turn in a reading slip? The FIRST time you turn in a reading slip- *A star with your name on it will be displayed in our main hallway with all of our Hampton Star Readers *You will get your reading slip back with a prize attached Every time you turn in a reading slip AFTER the first slip *A sticker will be added to your star that is displayed in the hallway Library Books- Return Books on Library Day (1 week) Weather and Recess

24 Kindergarten Screener Results
If your kindergartener scored a 29 or 30 on the W-APT screener: S/he does not qualify for support at this time. S/he will be assessed again in the winter with the reading and writing portions of the screener to determine if there is a need for support at that time. Parents will be notified of the results and the determination.

In the ESL Center Instructional support based on English proficiency level in Listening, Speaking, Reading, and/ or Writing Frequency and amount of support based on student needs Students receive support during non-direct instructional time.
