2 Eastern Panhandle The Eastern Panhandle tourist region is made up of 3 counties: Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan. One of the most noted locations within this tourist region is Harper’s Ferry in Jefferson county. Harper’s Ferry is known for multiple reasons in West Virginia, it is the state’s lowest point and John Brown’s famous raid occurred here.
