Flash-cards – exercise copy
Does not actually have to involve cards. Write all the headings, key words and things that could be asked on a page, without the answers. You can then look over those words and questions to try and answer in your head. Or Give the answers to someone else and have them ask you. I used to ask my family and pace around the room answering.

Important note for test
There are a lot of names in this section. Highlight, put in a different section or do something to separate the names of the inventors and their inventions. Half this test will be names.

Visual representations are the best
On your mind map, or on the back, or on a separate page if you desire, draw images or words linked with what you have to study. Textbooks do this for a reason. Looking back at the individual images in each chapter helps. Try putting drawings of sheep beside Robert Bakewell and selective breeding, draw new tools, horse drawn carriages, or whatever doodle links the idea to your head on your mindmap.
