„Paedagogium Darmstadium“ founded by count Ludwig V. and his son count Georg II.
The first higher school in Darmstadt opened on April 22nd in 1629
1831: move to today‘s location
250 years anniversary: „Ludwig-Georgs-Gymnasium“
The „Brandnacht“(= night of fire) destroyed the school  different other buildings

4. 1955: star architect Max Taut designed today‘s schoolhouse,
which is under preservation order
