Room 111 News Wednesday November 11, 2015 Important dates:
Next week’s Shine student is Jack 11/12-11/13: No school for students- OCEA Teacher Conference Thursday 11/19: Spelling test—list 5 words Friday 11/20: SCAAP Day for those who earn it 11/18-11/24: Book Fair-11/24 First Grade day to shop. 11/19 and 11/23: Parent-Teacher Conferences Monday 11/23: First and Second Grade Thanksgiving Prayer Service Important Information: There WILL be a spelling test next week—List 5 words are in the blue folder! There is no white envelope with graded papers this week. Papers from this week will come home in next week’s envelope. The office asked me to clarify the tardy policy: Your child must be in the classroom by the time the 8:00 bell rings. If he or she is in the hallway or not in the school yet when the bell rings, he or she needs to go to the office to get a late slip. If you have not yet signed up for a Parent/Teacher conference please do so ASAP! If you need assistance contact the office. Report Cards were posted last Tuesday. Please be sure that you view and sign-off on your child’s card. On 11/23 we are going to have a prayer service for Thanksgiving. If you would like to help or donate one of the following items it would be very much appreciated! If you would like to donate something, please send me an and I will get back to you! THANK YOU! spoons goldfish bag of already popped popcorn The Scholastic Book Fair with be from 11/18 to 11/24. Our day to buy is Tuesday the 24th. You may send money to school with your child if you want them to purchase books here. The Book Fair will also be open during both conference evenings. Please remember to send in either a cash donation or a santa ornament for our class tree for Festival of Trees! Please send in $.50 for a gift for our priests’ Christmas gifts! The school food drive starts next Monday. Please send in any cans or other non-perishable food items to share with the hungry in our community. No glass jars please! Our school goal is to collect at least 2015 items!
