Figure 2 | Representative MSI data obtained from human joints. Peptides of 1,431.8 m/z, corresponding to fibronectin, are detected and visualized by mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) in tissue sections from human cartilage and synovium. Considerable differences in the abundance of fibronectin can be observed in healthy and osteoarthritic (OA) tissues. These data can be confirmed by immunohistochemistry (IHC) analysis of consecutive sections from the same samples using anti-fibronectin antibodies.
