“Free Choice Friday” Journaling
Skip a line after your last journal entry, then write “Free Choice Friday” and today’s date (8/19/16). You are allowed to turn to the next clean page in your notebook if you’d rather do that. Make sure you have the correct page number listed on your table of contents.
If you don’t have a notebook yet, use notebook paper & KEEP all journal entries in a special section in your binder.
On Free Choice Fridays, you write whatever you wish, as long as it is school appropriate. (Examples: your plans for the weekend; something that’s on your mind; a poem; a fictional story; a list; song lyrics; a good memory; etc.)
The “big rule”– DO NOT STOP WRITING UNTIL TIME IS CALLED! 
P.S. NEVER tear pages out of your notebook.
