If you are delivering this course over 12 months, you will probably have 40 term weeks, then take away 4 weeks for exam or block weeks, which leaves you with 36 weeks to complete all 12 units. Therefore we recommend a 3 week timetable per unit, which will leave you 2 weeks for catch up over the year. Obviously this is only a suggestion and you can tailor this course as to best suit your school’s calendar year. The order in which the units are delivered are also up to you and in the past we delivered the units in the order, as per the information on this slide. With the student/learner units, they all have two parts and follow the same format: Firstly you have your introduction and learning material in one document and the students assessment in the second document. The reason for this is so that students can easily browse through the learning material on a separate document whilst doing their assessments in another document. For some of these units there are some Workplace simulation and Third Party Reports included as part of the assessment, but we will provide you with some guidance around these to support you in completing these assessments successfully with your students. The trainer guides are just one document and also follow the same format of an introduction, followed by the learner material and assessment mapping and ending with the assessments including the model answers. In your welcome which was sent to your school, you would have already received an electronic copy of all your student units and assessments, as well as your trainer guides
