2. Introduction Nowadays, Internet is very popular in our modern world. In some developed countries, about 70% of the educated people have been using the Internet, or use the Internet, or are frequent Internet users. Most of them do agree that Internet is an amazing technology, since it really lets us to connect to each other in seconds.

3. Functional Requirement of the System ( 1 ) Member logon In order to benefit the web site facilities, every visitor can signup for a free account after completing the online application. Up-to-date television program schedule The television program schedule and the iVCR hot spot information of supported channels will be updated regularly by the system or administrator.

4. Online real time television program broadcasting Once the member logon, they can enjoy the live television program through the Internet with Microsoft Media Player 7 or later version. Online television program playback The logon member can select to playback the television program that they have chosen to record. Member can also playback and download the public program archives. 5. iVCR email notification Email notification of iVCR news can be sent by the Administrator. One-week television programs recording schedule The system can provide as least one-week programs records, the program records will be deleted automatically by the system once they are expired. 7. Non-Functional Requirement of the System ( 1 ) Real time television program broadcasting limitation Due to the system preliminary stage, it will only provide a signal program channel broadcasting from 18:00 to 00:00. Concurrent connection for live broadcast and playback Much computing resource is required to support video quality expected for TV program recording and playback. We recommend at most 5 to 10 clients of concurrent live broadcasting and online playback.

Non-Functional Requirement of the System ( 2 ) Video output resolution The system will only provide the following format: Video: [384 Kbps] 352 x 288 Video stream (384 Kbps):25 fps, 4 seconds per key frame Storage capacity for television program recordings The system will remove the program recordings over 7 days automatically in order to free the server hard disk space.

Non-Functional Requirement of the System ( 3 ) Recommendation for live broadcast and online playback For live broadcast and online playback, LAN and Broadband connections are recommended; 56Kbps or lower connections are only recommended for browsing the information about TV programs provided by iVCR, etc.
