2 Lake Havasu City is dependant economically on its waterways.
The tourists spend millions of dollars in our community each year due to lake activities Unfortunately, a lot of their trash ends up on our lake bottom.

3 Project Overview The team planned and executed a small- area underwater clean up. This process can help others produce future clean up events on a larger scale. We show how to plan, organize, and execute a successful underwater clean up.

14 Expanding Clean Up This was a small area clean up with limited time and crew. What happens when the crew and time are expanded to a larger area? Increase Time to 4 hours / Divers to 60 Increase potential collection to 8,500 items Joel

15 Summary Underwater clean up projects have a significant ecological and environmental impact. Volunteers need to be excited about projects for their own reasons. Make it fun, keep it safe. Set realistic goals. Stay organized More than 75% of the earth is covered with water. Imagine how much trash is down there!
