4. Monthly Teleconferences
Teleconferences are held on the second Thursday of each month at 11 am ET.
The notes for the conference calls and project notes can be viewed on the IFTA Inc. website under the ITAC message board.

5. GPS Project ITAC has been charged
“to investigate, analyze, and report to the Board of Trustees the current capabilities of GPS and other electronic positioning and routing systems as they apply to commercial trucking operations”.

6. GPS Project ITAC is to discuss:
Both hardware and software capabilities
What and how these systems communicate to centralized systems / networks
Factors that affect distance and routing accuracy and how the distance and routing results can be verified
How source data is secured and under what circumstances allow data to be deleted, edited or otherwise modified subsequent to creation

7. GPS Project Steps taken so far
Dictionary of terms used in describing electronic positioning and routing systems has been completed and is on the ITAC message board
Survey questions developed
Survey sent out to vendors on June 16, 2010
Receive survey responses by June 30, 2010

8. GPS Project Next steps Review survey responses
Discuss review of survey responses
Meet with sub-committee – July 12, 2010
Meet with full committee - July 14, 2010
Prepare report for the IFTA Inc Board of Trustees
Finalize and present report to the IFTA Inc Board of Trustees - October 1, 2010
