1. ASSESSMENT
Create and design either a contemporary Disney Princess or a contemporary Marvel Superheroine that ignores cultural norms and represents females in a fairer way.
For the assessment, you must submit:
A character profile for your character, showing how different they are to the princesses/superheroines we are used to
A synopsis for your character’s film using Todorov’s Theory
A design of your character’s costume, including annotations explaining your choices  what do the colours, shapes, items/props connote?
All three components must be handed in on the first class after Half Term – Monday, February 19th

2. PART 1: CHARACTER PROFILE
Name, place of birth, and background
Does their name have any special meaning?
Does their place of birth have any significance over their story?
What was their life like before their big adventure?
Personality, beliefs & goals
What is their personality like?
What do they believe is right? What do they believe is wrong?
What are their goals in life? Do they have a specific dream?
Relationships
What is their relationship with their family?
What are other important relationships in their life?
Do they have a romantic interest in anyone? If so, who?

3. PART 2: SYNOPSIS Equilibrium Attempt to Fix Disruption Disruption
What was your character’s normal life like?
Did they have specific routines?
What were their most important relationships?
Attempt to Fix Disruption
How can the disruption be fixed? How does your character come up with the solution?
What challenges might your character face on their way to fix the disruption?
Will your character have any support/aid in fixing the disruption? If so, from whom?
What lessons will your character learn on their way to fix the disruption?
Disruption
What event disrupted your character’s normal life?
How did it affect their lives? Did it affect them personally, or their relationships with others?
New Equilibrium
How did their journey change them? Did they learn anything new about themselves, the people around them, or the world? If so, what?
Have any of their relationships changed at all?
What does their new life look like? What has changed, and what has remained the same?
Recognition of Disruption
How did your character realise that the disruption occurred? Did they notice it themselves, or learned it from someone/somewhere else?
Did the recognition change any of their beliefs?
