Organizacijsko znanje Osebno znanje

Let's say that one of you here today decides to write an article on the impending merger between Daimler Benz & Chrysler, and the impact that will have on both companies' IT infrastructures. Before you start doing any research, it would be nice to talk to some of your colleagues who may have written about similar topics or who have valuable insights or references.

17 Sistem spremlja aktivnosti posamenikov za izdelavo mape znanja
Iskalnik Vsebine One of the things that a knowledge management solution would help you with is how to find the right people. Wouldn't it be nice if you could connect with other people in your own company who knew a little bit about mergers in general, about the impact of mergers on IT infrastructure and human resources. I tmight even be nice to learn from some people at your company that maybe used to work at Chrysler or at Daimler Benz, to get their insights. The funny thing is, most of the clues to who these people are in your company exist right in the information systems you've got. The articles and documents that have been written by your colleagues have been captured and indexed in some sort of groupware or document management system. And many of the past work experience has been captured in HR systems. You can imagine other systems, such as project management systems, that capture similar information that implies what people know in your company. The role of KM is not only to retrieve those relevant documents and bits of data, but also to uncover the sources of expertise available to you. That is, the system keeps track of who knows what, and presents you a customized list depending on your query.

18 Sistem poišče sodelavce z najbolj podobnimi znanji
Expertise Profile Bethann Cregg Jim Henson Scott Eliot Sarah Church Marybeth Clark Eric Brynjolfsen Angela Finney Matt Dylan So, here you see a list of people in your company who might have a little bit to add, some insight to offer, about your article on the Chrylser-Daimler Benz merger. Maybe a hundred people.

19 Sistem prikaže kateri sodelavci so prisotni v omrežju
Expertise Profile Bethann Cregg Jim Henson Scott Eliot Sarah Church Marybeth Clark Eric Brynjolfsen Angela Finney Matt Dylan And the good news is that some of them are at their desks, on-line, right now. Not all 100, of course, but maybe 30 of them. Using something like the real-time capabilities we just showed you, you now have a just-in-time expertise locator.

20 Sistem pošlje sporočile v trenutnem času sodelovacem preko omrežja
Expertise Profile Bethann Cregg Jim Henson Scott Eliot Sarah Church Marybeth Clark Eric Brynjolfsen Angela Finney Matt Dylan So, now, the system sends your query to all 30 of those people. "Hi, I'm writing an article about the impact of the Daimler Benz merger with Chrylser on the IT infrastructures of the two companies. Any ideas on some of the things I should focus on?" Out of the thirty people, most of them will ignore this message. Typical response for most companies. But chances are that 2 or 3 of them will in fact respond. 21 Razvije se sodelovanje
za reševanje problema Expertise Profile Bethann Cregg Jim Henson Scott Eliot Sarah Church Marybeth Clark Eric Brynjolfsen Angela Finney Matt Dylan What you've got now is a virtual community -- a group of people with a shared context, a shared mission of sorts, and a shared environment. In the chat that takes place, one of the participants might open up a document for all to share, and highlight a particular section. Others might suggest contact names of people at other companies, at technology vendors and at the two automotive manufacturers' IT groups. And, when the conversation is over, the system makes a record of the fact that these three or four people had a discussion about this topic. The next time someone makes a similar query, not only will the same 100 names show up, but also a new name -- the name of the person who initiated the inquiry in the first place. That is, you've got a complete feedback loop to continually create, capture and reuse expertise. Sporocilo: Jane Novak “Kdo ve kaj o java programiranju?
