4 Carousel Questioning and Brainstorming
Group yourself by the number you were given and answer the provided question. List as many ideas as possible. When requested, please post your response on the wall and stand by it. Every time the bell chimes, please move with your group to a new poster question. Review the answers and discuss it as a group. Curriculum – what units are you teaching, What are some unique ideas that you plan to bring to the units this year, how do you plan for and address your school strategic goals in Target, how do you plan/ is it working for you and your evaluator/ , what are some of your favorite ideas for teaching the divergent thinking standards, convergent, evaluative, relationships and connections, and affective, what are some of your favorite resources for TD Instruction – what strategies do you use to meet the needs of all of your students, what are your favorite go-to strategies for differentiation, what are some ways that you extend students who are ready to go beyond, what are some ways you scaffold lessons for students that need more support, what recommendations do you give to teachers who need assistance meeting the needs of high ability learners in the gen-ed setting PL – What are some of your favorite Professional Learning resources (books, podcasts, videos, social media, etc) for furthering your work with gifted and talented students, are there any conferences or live events/experiences that you recommend Carousel Questioning and Brainstorming

Window 1 – only those identified as gifted in another state or private system or students with 2 of 3 requirements for Op B Students in grades 1, 3, and 5 must wait for system-wide testing to receive CogAT and/or IOWA System-wide testing for automatic referrals; Reported referrals submitted based on data and need Use of CogAT, NNAT, IOWA, GES, GRS, TTCT, and MP for eligibility; others as needed Use of LEC Paperwork and test review Qualification based on Op A and Op B Schedule for the year as much as possible.
