Expectations • Students must be self motivated
Students are willing to put in the extra work outside of class • Students will create and maintain a “college level” laboratory notebook • Completion of the AP Chemistry exam in May Note: Students who choose not to take the AP Chemistry exam will take a teacher-created AP level exam.

If Your Student Needs Help
Encourage students to ask questions in class. Call me over during class to look at work. I am available before, and after, school several days per week. Students should see me to make an appointment and come prepared with questions or specific homework or classwork problems Lions Time Have them me questions if they get home at night and are stuck on a problem

Exam Date The exam is on the first Monday in May May 2, 2016 At 8:00am

AP Chemistry Exam Format
Section I: Multiple Choice Questions (60 questions in 90 min.) ** no calculators allowed, only a periodic table ** Section II: Free-Response Questions 7 questions in 90 min.

Lab Work We will work in lab numerous times during each semester.
Students must wear goggles, and close toed shoes, in lab at all times. Your student’s safety is my first priority when we work in lab.

Please let me know if: Your student has a condition/situation that will require extra support in the classroom You have a family member (or friend) serving overseas. You have a family member with an illness. There is something else that you would like me to know about your student.
