Why is name of The People’s Republic of China inaccurate?
Because it limits the power of the people and often oppresses them to benefit the government. It is also not a republic as the people are told who to vote for instead of them choosing naturally.

Democracy is fairer because it lets the people living in a country decide who is going to rule them. The democratic system can act as a safety valve for the discontented. Democratic governments are less likely to go to war. Democracy encourages a sense of belonging for its citizens. There is a tendency towards short- termism. The tyranny of the majority is a constant threat to minority groups Democracy panders too much to the needs of the individual and encourages people to vote selfishly The democratic process encourages politicians to make promises that they know they can’t keep

Popular Sovereignty – People have the Power. Republicanism – people vote for elected officials. Federalism power separated between local and central governments. Separation of Powers – Powers are divided in to 3 branches Checks and Balances – Each Branch has the power to check the other to make sure no abuse of power has occurred Limited Government – Government that is limited to the laws of the constitution Individual Rights – Liberties of each individual to pursue life and goals without interference from other individuals or the government.
