Areas of Focus: Mathematics: Solving multi-step problems
Continue to develop math lessons to support students’ number sense ELA: Citing appropriate text, analyzing multiple texts Continue to increase reading level of materials utilized in daily instruction (increased reading Lexile Levels, differentiated materials for students as needed)

Plans to Address PARCC Focus Areas:
Mathematics: Implement new math series – GoMath (K – 5th Grade) Series contains more rigorous problems, more multi-step problems than previous serious. Professional development for staff members GoMath, math assessment and questioning techniques Staff to continuously reviews math standards and revise math pacing guides. Continue to incorporate problem solving strategies into Makerspace / STEM lessons to support mathematics and reasoning strategies. Continue grade level planning to identify and address areas in need of improvement. Continue RTI & Basic Skills programs to support students in need. ELA: Continue to review ELA standards with staff members. Incorporate multiple texts into ELA lessons, utilize Read Works & Newsela to support readers at multiple levels. Review MAP Data to monitor student Lexile Levels and utilize appropriate materials in daily lessons.
