6 Construction College Pathway
The College SHSM Construction program is a hands on learning environment where students will learn and understand many aspects of Construction either at Co-op or in the shop. Main focus of the program is on Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing and Drywall Installations. 2 Credits TCS 3CH-Shop 2 Credits TCS 3CC-Co-op 2 Credits TCS 4CH-Shop

Grade 11 Schedule: First 4 weeks- 3 periods a day Co-op Pre-Placement Construction Safety Electrical Rest of the Semester Mon-Thurs- Co-op Placement Friday-In school-Field Trips

Grade 12 Schedule: Main focus is on Carpentry with the idea of giving back to members of the Community. 2 Periods a day Project yet to be determined

What is Co-op? —Experiential Learning that gives the student a learning experience outside of the school environment at a workplace. —Students gain hands-on experience in a field of interest to a student. —“Nothing else in the world can prepare you like CO-OP does.”

14 How to join……. Select 2 credit coop and 2 Major courses (Biz or Construction related) when you do your course selection Fill out the SHSH registration form and give to Ms. Jones Listen for SHSM announcements
