Do you maintain eye contact?
The idea of this exercise is to keep the conversation going. Don’t stop signing until I stop you. I want to see how good you are at conducting a conversation in ASL. Do you maintain eye contact? Are you an active listener—with your facial expressions and comments? Do you ask questions about what your partner has just said? If you don’t understand what your partner has said do you use appropriate techniques for clarification?
