3
Steps Required to Change to DG6
Get approval for proposal from Regulator Get list of MPRNs for each Supplier Agree format of communication with Customers Confirm metering configuration for each MPRN Confirm/Establish MIC for Each Customer Establish date for transfer of all Customers
4
Change to existing Network Connection
Customers who apply for changes to their Network Connection are if necessary regularised to DUoS Tariff group based on the “Rules for Application of DUoS Tariff Group (CER/04/300)” Customers can apply to be changed to a different DUoS tariff.
5
Legacy Network Connections
A significant number of “Legacy” Customers exist, who, based on the “Rules for Application of DUoS Tariff Group (CER/04/300)”, should be in a different DUoS Tariff Group. Examples of customers who are in an incorrect tariff group include: Customers with MIC over 50kVA who are on DUoS tariff (DG5), Customers who have MIC’s with significant variance to their annual consumption.
6
Legacy Customers ESB Networks duty of non-discrimination requires that the “Rules for Application of DUoS Tariff Group (CER/04/300)” be applied equally to all connections. It is ESB Networks intention to make proposals to the CER to regularise these “Legacy” Customers The roll out of Smart Metering may impact on any final solution
7
Some Legacy Examples 150 Domestic customers with over 100,000kWh annual consumption 4260 Customers on DG5 with MIC 50 kVA or above 2500 Customers on DG5 with annual consumption above 175,000kWh 700 Customers on DG5 with annual consumption above 350,000kWh
