4. Introduction/Background
Should include:
The purpose of your experiment
What are you trying to accomplish?
Your hypothesis
Simply state your prediction and EXPLAIN why you made that prediction based on your research.
Information
This ties into the reason why you chose your hypothesis. It also should introduce the concepts of chemistry involved in the experiments.

5. Procedure Should include: The steps of your experiment.
It should be detailed enough for ME to repeat it without looking anything up.
It should be in order.
It should be EXACTLY what you are going to do.
It can change. Add or Take away steps or details as you conduct your experiments.
Make the changes in your final lab report.

6. Results Should Include: This is where you place your data
Your data should be in a table, chart, graph and/or clearly through words.
If you have a table, chart, or graph, you must explain it using words.
It should be detailed
It should REPRESENT your data.

7. Conclusion It should INTERPRET your data
Explain the results you achieved
Clearly connect your results to your hypothesis
Was your hypothesis valid?
Include possible sources of error
Possible improvements or extensions to procedure
Identification of substances

8. References The Last Page
Any website, article, book, person, etc that you used as information for your lab report.

9. Format
Typed
12 pt Font
Orderly (Same order as on PPT)

10. Example
