AVID Tutor Job Qualifications
Fall 2018 college student enrolled in at least 9 credit hours per semester Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher Clear communication skills Reliable and punctual Desire to work with and mentor middle/high school students Attend all mandatory trainings Successfully complete the Pinellas County Schools fingerprinting and background check process ($51.25)

General Information May 17th Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg
Guests do not need tickets to attend $10 cash per car parking fee The Ceremony will start at 6:00 pm and end by 7:30 pm.

Code of Conduct for the 2018 Graduation Ceremony

Gentlemen Dark dress pants or khakis (no jeans) Dress shirt and tie

Ladies Should wear white or pale solid colors
Dresses, skirts, and blouse/shirt with dress pants or Bermuda length shorts

SHOES All students will wear dress shoes.
NO sport shoes or flip-flops will be worn. It is suggested that ladies wear flats, pumps, or wedges. You must stand for a length of time and there are several sets of stairs that you must traverse. You may also be traversing the grassy field.

Cap and Gown Caps and Gowns MUST be worn
Caps and Gowns shall not be altered in any manner. No decorating of Caps Nothing shall be added to regalia Your tassel should hang on the right side Correct way to wear your graduation cap:

Arrival at Tropicana Field
Arrive no later than 5:00 pm with cap and gown $10 cash parking fee per car Any lot but 5 Graduates will enter at Gate 6 Family and Friends will enter Gates 3 and 5 at approximately 5:15 pm There will be bag/purse checks and security wanding

Handicap Access Guests wishing to drop off a family member who is unable to walk from the car may use the car circle in front of GATE 4 to drop of the family member. Tropicana Field does not provide wheelchairs. Please ensure guests bring their own wheelchairs or other ambulatory assistive devices.

Strollers are NOT allowed inside, there will be stroller parking at Gate 3 and 5. NO: Balloons Flowers Noisemakers/air horns

In the Hallway Immediately find the correct sign for your last name.
The Faculty member assigned to your alphabet will return your name card to you and assign you a place to stand You need to stand in ALPHABETICAL order. Remain in your line! Two lines will process out of the hallway and to the Floor

Cell Phones and other items
Cell phones are to be left with a parent before you get to the Hallway Faculty who hand you a reader card will take any cell phones. Confiscated items will be returned upon pick up of the diploma

Follow single file in a dignified manner. Do not let a gap open up between you and the person ahead of you. You will be led to the floor. Once at your seat remain standing until instructed to sit.

Ceremony Dignified ceremony
No improper noises or distractions on stage No inappropriate gestures from stage Misbehavior during ceremony will result in NOT receiving your diploma May 17th. Security on Floor, Diploma can still be held, sit, enjoy speeches,

Receiving Diplomas Entire row stands at same time Walk to the stage
Hand name card to Mrs. Mobley When your name is read, walk towards Mrs. Haley. Take diploma cover in left hand and shake her hand with your right hand The photographer will take your picture Make sure the diploma cover is right side up Shake all the Honored Guests’ hands

Exit the stage Return to your row and remain standing until everyone in your row has received diploma (you will be signaled to sit).

Recessional and Diplomas
When the Ceremony is over, you will be signaled to stand and will walk out in two lines back to the Hallway Find your alphabetical sign at the tables YOU (no one else may do this) must sign and receive your diploma Place it in your diploma cover Meet your friends and family outside

The Operations Team requests that all high schools remind graduates that they are NOT allowed to throw their caps at the end of the ceremony. All Pinellas County School Board policies and procedures are in effect until after completion of the ceremony. This PowerPoint will be available on the school website tomorrow.

Be sure to see your advisor if you are in need of honor chords.

Reader Card Please write your formal name on the Reader Card.
Contact information is for the photography company. If you have questions about the Phonetic spelling of your name, see Mrs. Mobley You will hand this and your green slip in to receive your cap and gown

Find the correct door Exit through that door to the lobby Boys A-I Boys J-Z Girls A-La Girls Le-Z Be sure there is a tassel in your package before you leave. Lost tassels cost $10 to replace. Turn in your reader card and conduct acknowledgement, sign your name, receive your cap and gown
