11 Merit Badge Quick Entry Example
Click “Enter Merit Badge Req” and then choose which badge from the drop down menu

12 Once you select the Merit Badge, you will be brought to this screen.
Chose the Version Put the date DO NOT CHECK APPROVED/RECORDED ***see next slide*** Click on every Scout that has completed the requirements Click on every requirement they have completed Add a note, if you want! (we add things like MB Wknd or Oct Trip) Hit SAVE If the Scout has completed the Badge, you need to record that under the “Merit Badges” Quick Entry This shows every Scout what needs to be completed in their “Advancement” Tab on their Profile. They can track all their requirements so there are no surprises. If you have Scouts who have completed different requirements, they need to be added separately, but you can still use “Quick Entry” for just one Scout

13 ***for “Approved/Recorded*** (Previous Slide)
If you are in any Leadership position for the troop, this box will appear. If you check that box, it will go straight to approved. Please discuss this process with your Committee to decide what your Troop is going to do about this process. If you want your Advancement Chairman to “Approve” everything, DO NOT check this box. If your Committee decides that any Leader can approve, then DO check this box.

18 Cons Scouts/Scouters/Parents must “Buy In” to using Scoutbook
The information is only good if it’s kept updated Must have WIFI to access Scouts can only access IF parents go in and enter their address. Admins CANNOT enter this information
