This print is full of information about Dürer’s thoughts and feelings. ’Pair and share’ – with a partner you are going to note everything that you see in the print that might have meaning. Just look closely, circle things that seem to be symbolic and write down ideas about what it might be about.

9. You could - Make a relief print based on the drawing of your hand holding an object or objects.

10. You could - Make a relief print based on a photograph you take of yourself expressing an idea/emotion and then use Photoshop to make it into an image suitable to work from.
You could take photographs of objects if they are symbolic of an aspect of who you are. As long as you explain in your statement of intent how the image communicates a ‘self portrait’.
