Teaching Instructional Strategies
Starting off the class each day with the same type of activity can seem to be a bit boring to some students, especially in a high school classroom. Many students want something exciting to happen or have the teacher change it up for a bit. These are some teaching strategies that might help keep the students involved in the material that is being taught. By: Megan Ruppert

Different Kinds of Instructional Strategies
Clock Partners-quick easy way to group students together Final Word-small group first person talks first and has the “final word” 2ish or 3ish Groups-groups of 2 or 3 depending on the class size Bell Ringer-review activity to see what the students remember 4 Wall Activity-positives, negatives, what they wish to know more about, and any questions the students have Why Protocol-look at a situation from both points of view Quick Write-30 seconds to a minute to summarize what they learned Silent Chalk-write on the board about the topic the teacher chooses without talking

Why Would It Be Good To Use Any of These?
Get students involved Everyone has a voice Shows the teacher if the students are understanding materials Fun way to get the students up and moving
