Cancer Cancer is a disease characterized by uncontrolled cell division
The regulation of the cell cycle breaks down The uncontrolled cells form clumps called tumors There are 2 types of tumors; benign and malignant

Breast Cancer Breast cancer happens when cancerous cells reach the tissue in the breast There are 2 types of cancer. The 2 types are Ductal Carcinoma and Lobules Carcinoma

The Study Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine Department of General Surgery and Medical Oncology did a retrospective study They chose 118 patients with stage IV breast cancer These patients were then separated into two groups

Results The group that underwent surgery lived longer than the group that chose medical treatment 44 months compared to 34 months Removing the tumor eliminates some cancer cells

What I Learned When breast cancer spreads it usually targets the bones first Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death after lung cancer 400,000 people lose their lives a year due to breast cancer 2 different types of breast cancers
