2. Taiga
A Taiga also known as a “Boreal Forest” is a biome classified by coniferous forests and mostly made up of pines, spruces and larches.
Taiga is the worlds largest terrestrial biome as shown on the map below.

3. Activities Many lumberjacks cut down trees for resources and money.
Some people many go camping in the Taiga during summer and warm times because the winter can reach -40 degrees.
The highest summer temp is around 70 degrees so sweaters and warm clothes will be needed at times as well as clothes for hot weather.

4. Activities Continued
Hunting could occur because foxes, lynxes, bears, minks, squirrels, while larger ones include grey wolves and their preys: caribou, reindeers and moose live in taiga.
During the colder seasons sledding is popular as well as horse back riding if you'd rather ride than stand on a sled.

5. Plants
Not many plants live in the area due to harsh weather conditions at times so the only plant life are the trees such as pine, spruce, hemlock, and fir trees.
Forest fires, insects, being cut down and pesticides are the main threats to the trees in the area.
