Political Party Democrat Socialist Republican Progressive or Bull Moose Child Labor Laws Regulate Child Labor Prohibit child labor Trusts Federal government should dismantle all monopolies Collective ownership of the means of production by the people through the state A diluted version of Roosevelt’s ideas but tended to side with big business Monopolies accepted but regulated (regulated monopolies) Groups of People who benefit White born native capitalists All working able bodies Women, children, workers, and small businessmen Consumer Protection Workmen’s comp and other laws protecting workers Laws not needed Early FDA programs and began National Parks Political Charisma and Voting Results Fairly good speaker. Earned votes by the Republican/Progressive party split Very good speaker and caught interest of many workers. People did not vote for him because he was a long shot Poor political figure who helped Wilson win the election by the splitting the votes between him and Roosevelt.
