October 22nd is Unity Day across the United States
October 22nd is Unity Day across the United States! Many schools are taking their stand against bullying by wearing orange on October 22nd because orange represents unity. At JCHS, we are going to take a stand the week of October 20th – 23rd to show our Unity Against Bullying. October 20th- The seniors will be passing out orange ribbons to all staff and students. October 21st- The Student 2 Student Group will be giving out orange candy to all staff and students. October 22nd- All students will have an opportunity to write on a slip of orange paper that will become an entire school chain. This activity will take place in seminar and further directions will come out as it gets closer. Encourage students to wear orange that day! October 23rd A poster (like shown above) will be posted at the CAC and FSA for students to sign stating that they will “stand up against bullying.” The posters will remain in the schools for the rest of the year.
