2. Not every lights in 3DS Max can be use by Vray
Standard skylight won’t hurt, but offer nothing compare to Vray light portal.
Stay away from any MentalRay lights and sky Portal!!!

3. Lower the number, more correct of the shadow.
Check invisible option

4. Sampling increase number increase result but slower.
Use Adpative DMC Image sampler- similar result , but faster.

5. Use Global Switch
Turn on GI
Turn on default light

6. Turn GI environment and change colors
