1. Blessings From A Father To His Children
Ephesians 1:3-6

2. In Christ: Sufficiency
3 Blessed be the God & Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
Spiritual blessings make us completely sufficient (2 Cor 12:9; 2 Cor 3:5-6)

3. In Christ: Significant
4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy & without blame before Him in love
He chose Abraham’s family, He now chooses those in Christ (Jn 3:3-5; 1 Pet 1:22-23)
His choice is not independent of a personal response (Matt 11:28)

4. In Christ: Sons (children)
5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
Adoption: to leave one family to take the name & characteristics of a new family
In Christ we left a dying family for one where there is life eternal (1 Cor 15:22)

5. Salvation From Sin: Eternal Life
Put your faith in Christ through the gospel

Repent or turn from your sins

Confess your faith in Christ

Be immersed in water

Live in obedient faith
Heb 5:8-9; 1 Peter 1:14; Rev 2:10
