BUYING YOUR FIRST HOME. Everything you need to know.
Via EasyAgentPRO.com

Start Your Research Early

Set Your Goals Decide what you’re buying and what kind of home you’re looking for. You need to go out looking at houses to be very clear about your goals.

Options Examine your current financial situation and determine how much you can afford. Talking with a lender now won’t hurt your credit and will give you focus on what you can buy.

Contact A CENTURY 21 Agent

Knowledge Your agent (i.e. ME 😀) should know their market well. Inquire about schools, crime rates, population, future development plans, etc.

Experience Your CENTURY 21 agent (me again 😀) will help with property searches, financing, negotiation and transaction processes so head over to their website and see what they’re about.

Credentials Read online reviews or ask your agent for client testimonials so you can know their track record.

Get Pre-Approved

Lender Have them examine your current financial situation and credit history to determine the amount you can borrow to buy a home.

Finding One We work with a variety of local lenders so have more than 50 programs available to them so that you are put with the product that works best for you.

Find Your Dream Home

View Homes Ideally, you should view homes with the help of an experienced CENTURY 21 Agent who’ll notice things you might miss.

Neighborhood Is it conveniently located near places of interest to you?

Choose THE ONE Take as much time as you need to find the right home.

Make An Offer

Negotiate Once you’ve found the home you’d like to buy, it’s time to make an offer.

Inspection Typically scheduled within 7-15 days of contract execution. You will receive a report on the home inspector’s findings but we recommend being present for the inspection.

Appraisal Lenders will have an appraiser give an estimate of the value of the house you are buying. This typically occurs after the inspection has been completed.

Secure Financing

The Details Finalize your down payment, interest rate, regular payment schedule and all other financial terms associated with the closing. Asking for a “Closing Disclosure”.

Closing The Deal

Final Look Do a final walk through one last time to make sure everything is in proper condition. Check to ensure repairs were made and house is as it was when you made the offer.

Get the keys! WELCOME HOME!
