6 Informal Leadership They have the ability to lead without any formal power Could be due to more experience, personality or special knowledge Would they make a good formal leader? Yes? No? Why?

7 Informal Leadership YES NO
They already have the respect of employee so employees are more likely to listen to them Would only be good in a company where the employers and worker work together. Might lose the respect of the employees because they become management-no longer one of us, you are one of them. If there is a clear separation of worker and employer relationship at the company, promoting informal leaders might make them ineffective.
