2. SMG as easy as 1-2-3 Welcome to The Stock Market Game!
Step One: Establish how many classes and students will participate in teams of one to five.
Gather all of your school information and begin the user friendly registration process.
Competition Divisions: Elementary Grades 4-5, Middle Grades 6-7-8, High School 9-12
Step Two: When Your School’s Team Id’s and Passwords arrive by take the
students on an Introductory Tour of the SMG web site and check out the Rules,
Account Summary, Account Holdings and Trade Links to be off and trading.

3. Step Three: Introduce the basics of investing in stocks, mutual funds and bonds on the NYSE and NASDAQ exchanges. Check out the SMG Teacher Support Link for great lessons and activities. Begin team research by using great resources such as The NASDAQ Foundation, Google Finance, Seeking Alpha, CNBC or Yahoo Finance to build Fundamental and Technical Analysis stock picking skills. Do the math, place a trade and enjoy the excitement of watching the Global Market impact your portfolio and the team rankings.
