The male sex cell is the sperm cell. The nucleus containing the genetic information is in the head. Sperm cells also have a tail to swim. Nucleus Tail

The egg cell is the largest cell in the body. Unlike the sperm, the egg cell cannot swim. The cytoplasm of the cell contains chemicals for the developing baby to grow in.
