Shop Usage Schedule Enrollment increases have outpaced shop capacity
Overcrowding and safety Difficult for students to meet deadlines Necessary to develop a HARD schedule for shop usage: By class (macro) – starting this fall semester By group (micro) – maybe in the future Must maintain capacity for training and research projects

Restructuring of Core ME Courses
ME 201, ME 222, ME 332, ME 361 Current Model: several medium-sized sections 3 lecture hours per week Proposed Model: one or two larger-sized sections 2 lecture hours per week + 2 recitation hours per week Recitations staffed by TA’s, focused on problem solving On the order of 20 students per recitation section

Two-Days per Week Classes?
Assumption: model for core courses modified to (3:2,2) It might be possible to move most of our classes from: 3 lectures per week at 50 minutes each To: 2 lectures per week at 80 minutes each Benefits: more efficient, easier to schedule travel, … LET’S VOTE (unofficial)
