Two dimensions of social protection in Myanmar
Civil servants have access to a pension scheme. Some formal private sector workers have access to the Social Security Schemes (medical care, sickness, maternity, work injury). Level of protection Some emergency relief programmes run by development partners target the poor. Some programmes target some vulnerable categories of the population. Some community solidarity. Free basic public health and education programmes for all. Poor Rest of the Formal sector Population
