What do these programs do for TSMs
PACS: Helps to encourage and assist Transitioning Service Members and there spouses to enter public and community service employment. AmeriCorps: Encourage TSMs to explore volunteer service as a valuable avenue for transitioning into civilian life.

Benefits of the PACS Program
It gives TSMs a way to put their military training and skills to greater use at the national, state, and local levels. Helps TSMs to enter public or community service employment. Also helps TSMs spouses pursue employment in public and community service.

Benefits of the AmeriCorps and Volunteering
Volunteering, included through AmeriCorps, increases a person’s likelihood of finding a job by 27% nationwide and in the rural communities have a 55% higher chance of finding a job Being a Volunteer helps build resume experience and job networking, which can lead to employment opportunities. Reconnects TSMs to the communities. Helps with educations, student loan debt, training, living allowance, and health benefits
