12. Three Ways to Think About the Use of Evidence (Especially Video and Audio)
Evidence as Illustration: The use of evidence reinforces and illustrates what is said elsewhere. Examples may also help the reader's experience by showing what an approach looks like in practice.
Evidence as Interpretation: The use of evidence is critical to the argument. The evidence is important to the reader ability to interpret the meaning of the site's story.
Evidence as Complication: The use of evidence helps readers develop a more complex or richer sense of the problem or approach. One or more examples (such as video clips) help complicate the case, lead to making connections and deepening the meaning of the site's issues.
