4. Types of Pendulums
Pendulums can be made of different materials. The best length for the pendulum is six inches.
You can make your pendulum or buy one.
A crystal tied with wire then suspended on chain or cord.
A chain with metal pointer at the bottom. It must be able to swing freely in all directions.

8. Make Your Own
You can make your own pendulum out of any type of material. For this course you can shape a piece of aluminum foil to a tear drop shape and form it around a light weight string. The string or chain must be light enough to swing freely. The weight should be just enough to take any kinks out of the string. Do not use a weight that is too heavy and will not let you easily move it.

10. Yes and No The first step is to ask the pendulum for a “yes”.
The pendulum may swing from the side to side or “clockwise”.
Holding the string very still draped over your index finger. Concentrate on a “yes” and observe the pendulum’s movement.
This movement represents
“yes” for your future work.

11. To Determine “No” The next step is to ask the pendulum for a “no”.
The pendulum may swing from the up and down or “counter clockwise”.

12. “Maybe”
An option for your pendulum work is if you would want “maybe” as an answer.
Since through the logical steps you will be learning next. The “maybe” answer will not be needed in your work.

“maybe” for your future work.

13. Logic
The use of logic with the pendulum is critical. You must observe and obey the logical steps in using the pendulum or your reading may be in error.
Begin each session confirming your “yes” and then “no” movement.
Ask the pendulum to give you a “yes” and then a “no” before each reading.
This will not only confirm the message from the pendulum, but will give you a “warm up session” so that you can begin.
Remember to begin each session with this process.
Should the movement change for each response, note the movement for each and continue using the new movements.

14. Critical Step 2
This next step is very critical for the effective outcome of each session. It is often overlooked and could create some problems later in the session.
Holding the pendulum string very still, draped over your index finger, ask the pendulum if it will answer questions regarding what you are about to ask it.
Example: “Will you tell me where the ring is located?”
If the pendulum gives you a “yes”, then continue with the session.

15. If you get a “no”
Should the pendulum give you a “no” (which is rare, but does happen). You must consider the following:
Your intent: If you want the information for personal gain and for the betterment of the Universe. This might be the problem.
Example: Trying to determine lotto numbers.
The Universe may feel that you really do not need the information at this time and that doing so is not consistent to the “Universal Plan”.
Example: A person must find out on their own for their own spiritual growth.
Ego: If you are operating to “show off” and not for the betterment of a situation the pendulum may give you a “no”.

16. Now you are ready to begin!
Your questions should begin with “either or” logic. That way you can confirm each answer with its opposite.
Example: Is the ring inside the house?
Is the ring outside of the house?
These outcomes should make logical sense (it is either inside or out, not both).
If it is determined that the ring is inside the house, a follow up question may be; “then the ring is not outside of the house?”
This will confirm that the ring is inside and not out.
With practice you will be able to master the game of logic needed to accurately find answers.

Be “indifferent” of the outcome with no preconceived thoughts.

You can practice using the pendulum by having the pendulum follow a straight line back and forth.
Then have the pendulum follow the rim of a glass (or round object) in each direction.

22. Accessing your higher self
Where is this coming from?
The answers that you are receiving come from within you. The pendulum is merely a “prop” in which allows you to access a different level of consciousness. It may seem like you are not moving the string and pendulum but actually you are. The muscles in your body, arm and fingers are moving outside of your conscious state. It is this consciousness state where the information is coming from. The more you practice using the pendulum the better you become to access this consciousness. The answers and information to everything is already within you (including Universal Intelligence) the pendulum allows you to access it.

23. The Information Within
The use of the pendulum allows you to access more information that stored within you that you are not consciousness of its existence.
We have all heard that we use such a small percentage of our brain. The pendulum allows you to access these resources.
You take in millions and billions of bites of information but are only consciousness of very small portion.
If you were hypnotized and was asked to describe what you saw driving to work this day, you would talk for hours describing every detail of the trip

24. The answer to everything is within.
One Mind
Since many metaphysicians believe in “One Mind”. This explains where outside information comes from.
If you could access this “One Mind” (Universal Intelligence) you would have the answer to everything.
The pendulum is one of the first steps in accessing this intelligence. Since we are not aware on a conscious level. The pendulum allows the information to surface to our conscious level.
The answer to everything is within.

26. Now What?
By building your proficiency in Divination you can begin working with other “props” such as the Divining Rod, Ouija Board, and “cards” (such as the Tarot Cards).
Often the pendulum is the introduction to your Higher Self and through practice and dedication one may be able to access this level of consciousness without the use of “props”.
The ability to become “centered” and to obtain “nothing-less” in thought are the primary conditions needed to access this level of consciousness.

Use your imagination to create any type of chart.
Maps: Use a standard map or draw your own map to locate something. (Hint: Have the map facing down so that you will not have any influence to the outcome.)
Photos: Lay several photos face down and use the pendulum to choose the person you asked about. (Hint: Have another person shuffle and place the photos down face first.)
Letters: Write the alphabet on a sheet of paper and ask for letters or initials (note that the fan shaped charts work great for this).
Numbers: Again, use a fan shaped chart with the numbers 0-10 or 0-9.

32. Healing
Use the pendulum to locate “problem” areas or charkas that may need attention or awareness.
Some practitioners use the pendulum to assist others in clearing charkas or anything that is preventing the flow of energy.
The pendulum is an excellent step in learning medical intuitiveness.
Please note that this is not a substitute for “traditional” medical procedures and practices. Additional advance training and education is needed for this application. This is only an introduction.
