18 Proposals for issues to work upon
WWF´s work Proposals for issues to work upon • The effect of banning some species of pets (turtles, squirrels, etc.) and side effects (industry searching for alternative species, potentially IAS). White list of species. • The increasing problem of on-line trade (IAS pets in Spain, trade of centenary olive trees with snakes in Balearic Islands). There is no control • The effect of banning trade and production of IAS in some areas and not everywhere (American mink and the increasing problem in the region of Galicia, in north Spain). Species do not find barriers for movement • Climate change adaptation and IAS WWF España 17 November
