What’s going on: Greater Manchester

Devolution: What is it? Greater Manchester now has control over £6 billion The focus will be on – People taking charge of their own health and wellbeing More care for people in the community and leave hospitals for specialist care Hospitals working together to make sure knowledge is shared and everyone has the same high level of care Changes which will make sure everything is fair as well as saving money We can’t do this alone – we all have to work together so we can start well, live well and age well! These powers have now been handed over as of 1st April 2016. For example, giving people more access and control over their health records.

Everyone in Bolton needs to get behind this We need to do more for ourselves, including staying healthy, managing a long term illness, or using services properly Hand out - copies of locality plan summary This plan is all about our vision for Bolton and it supports the devolution in Greater Manchester.
